What is the best route from sydney to brisbane? with added stopping locations?

I am thinking of driving to Brisbane from Sydney i know there is a inland route and a pacific highway route.

i also understand the drive can take upwards of 12 hours. using google maps its given me a driving directions but hasn't given me stopping locations every 2 hours for rests. i guess what areas along the ininland route thru tamworth or pacific hwy are best places to have rests for example if i drove to Canberra from Sydney the best places to stop would be Marulan and Goulburn for rests they have services stations with Fastfood etc.. on the side of the highway. so what service stations with McDonalds, KFC etc... exist on the route between Sydney and Brisbane? i don't want to rush my journey to Brisbane and really don't want to spend the night half way there? What is the best route from sydney to brisbane? with added stopping locations?
The Pacific highway is best you can stop in plenty of places . You will be going through towns or the outskirts of towns often and there are plenty of rest areas . Just watch those cops on the road no speeding they hide in all sorts of places Coffs harbour nearly always has one hidden . Your 12 hours will go on longer than that I'm sure by the time you take your breaks and you can have a sleep at one of the rest areas in your car. plenty of people do . Take a pillow with you. Mcdonalds have signs saying where they are also rest areas give signs how far to the next one. What is the best route from sydney to brisbane? with added stopping locations?
Two hourly stops are probably a bit of overkill...I find that if you stop for a short break after 4 hours it's enough to recharge the batteries..

My preference would be the coast road ...plenty of towns where you can take a break %26amp; a much more scenic route, particularly in northern NSW...What is the best route from sydney to brisbane? with added stopping locations?
Hey, am taking the Brisbane to Sydney trip next week and have decided to take the coastal highway. Have taken it heaps of times. Either way there are a lot of stops along the way. I am taking my own food as I always find the Truck stop, McDonald's type stuff makes me feel off and over full. I will however stop for a nice cup of hot tea and coffee. You can google the fast food places and find out where they are and even the petrol stations such as roadhouses will show up. I am doing the trip in one go cannot stop half way so I am leaving brisbane at 3 am to get a good start.

have a good trip. Oh avoid the sugar drinks and energy drinks they just dehydrate you and make you tired.

Cheers

have a great trip

oh please don't run into me LOL
