Several ways you can reach Dombivali but looking at traffic conditions in Mumbai, I think this route is better though bit longer.
Get onto Western Express Highway and travel till Ghodbunder naka. Take a right turn towards Thane city ( if you are somewhere in Aarey Dairy area or so - you can actually go to central suburbs like Bhandup, too to save time). Keep going till u reach Thane city. Take left turn to connect to Mumbai - Nasik highway and keep going till toll naka on this road. Turn to Panvel road ( Pune diversion ). Soon you will be in Shil Phata. Take left turn on Shil Phata and keep going and soon u will be in MIDC -Dombivli area. This connects to Dombivli town, too. I know this route is bit tedious but then traffic congestion will be less on this route.
