British Screenwriting Agents?

I've been experimenting with the craft of screenwriting now for about 12 years. I have worked up what I feel to be an excellent character-driven screenplay. I have other half-finished scripts and other ideas waiting on the sidelines to be developed. But I am now seriously looking for an agent. Can you point me in the right direction?

Obviously I have done Google searches, etc but to cut down on all the garbage, I just wanted to know if there were one or two absolutely genuine agents who would look at my work seriously...... that' all and thanks for viewing this question.British Screenwriting Agents?
You need to get the Writers %26amp; Artists Yearbook, that lists all of the British agents for all forms of writing. Costs about 拢10.

Call me slightly concerned (because you don't know this I suspect you've been working in a vacuum -- completely alone) but have you had your screenplay checked by any professional readers? I appreciate you've spent a lot of time on it and I'm not knocking it -- and I assume that you've "read all the books" -- but there is nothing like a second and third opinion from someone in the business.

If you haven't then try Lucy at Bang2Write for starters, it'll cost about 拢40 ... here's her blog, just follow the links.

Anyway, good luck.
