Squeeling noise during sharp turns?

I drive a 94 Geo Prizm, and lately I've noticed that when I do a slow, sharp turn in either direction (like into a parking spot), there is a squealing noise coming from the front tires. I'm not positive, but I think it's worse when the car is just started up. I am just wondering what this could be.

From google, it seems that this could be a power steering leak or something along those lines.

Do you have any idea what this could be and what I should do to fix it? Cost would be nice too!Squeeling noise during sharp turns?
It definately sounds like a poewr steering problem. Check your fluid level and see where its at. Also, check the ground underneath where you park and see if there is any fluid on the ground, signs of a leak. Is your car more difficult to steer or is the noise your only problem? Hope this helps.
your power steering belts are loose.the noise is not from your tires but from the engine.just get someone to tighten the belts up.no big deal.20 bucks at most if they are honest.Squeeling noise during sharp turns?
Most squealing in tight turns is just the power steering pump Pressure relief valve doing its thing. It is normal.

However, if its a tire squeal, have your steering geometry checked out. (Alignment.)Squeeling noise during sharp turns?
IF your car has power steering, then it would be the power steering belt squealing when you lock your steering wheel all the way over to turn. By easing off JUST a tad until it does not squeak, then you are still getting the same turn radius and not pegging the relief valve in the power steering pump.

If your car does NOT have power steering, the squeeling sound is normal for the front tires themselves to be making this noise.

Perfect "Ackerman" effect in steering geometry is hard to engineer in economy cars.
The only things that can make that noise in the steering system is; tires low on air, steering fluid level low, and if it has a power steering belt, it maybe loose. Some steering pumps are gear driven and not belt driven. That's why I said if it has a steering belt.
