IPod Touch - using Maps offline?

Hi,



I'm planning on using the Google Maps app to drive abroad, yet it doesn't work offline. Is there any way I can save or preserve planned directions and refer to them without wi-fi?

1. you need to ROUTE your MAP first when you have internet then turn of WiFi, and now you should be able to see only that bit and direction of the MAP saved



2. you can CAPTURE anything on the iPod Touch by pressing the HOME button and ON/OFF button together for 1 second.



when you press these 2 together you will see a white screen for a second and then it will save that moment of the screen to your photo section... you can do this on a MAP then when you don't have internet you can look at it.. or anywhere else even on email or games it works

It will save the last map you loaded I believe, but you wont be able to alter the map or anything while not online.
