Why do some people on Y!A ask?

Why do some people on Y!A ask questions that they could have answered on their own? For example, I just saw a question asking about the lyrics to a song. It took me literally 10 seconds to pull up google and find the lyrics. Have all of my questions been thought provoking? No. But I wouldn't ask for lyrics to a song or driving directions to Minneapolis if I can look it up quickly and easily through a search engine. Why do some people on Y!A ask?
They ask because they're lazy.

It doesn't take that long to go through a search engine and they'd find the answer much sooner than waiting for someone to respond here.

Course if they didn't ask, we wouldn't have any questions to answer.
Laziness. Why do some people on Y!A ask?
you know what, i have wondered that too. i have answered a cpl of name that song/artist questions, or what is the name of this movie. i hope they just don't know how to use the search bar. couldn't be lazy, if they're gonna type a question on yahoo answers. just don't understand ppl sometime. Why do some people on Y!A ask?
Pure laziness.

The same amount of time to type the question in Y!A a person could easily slide over to Google, Wikopedia, etc. and uncover the answer.

But that would be too much like right. A lot of individuals can't stand the terms "work" or "find out yourself" instead they think its more pleasing to get someone else to do it.
They're probably just having fun asking, cause the time they spent asking is probably longer than the time they would have spent searching.... or they just want to hear what people have to say.

I guess they enjoy it..!
